Post-punk country singer, Rachel Resist has announced she will be releasing a new album soon. The recording features her classic 1950′s country singing backed up by upright bass, pedal steel guitar and drums. In order to pay for recording time and album duplication, she is trying to raise $1800 through Kickstarter.
In addition to the standard pledge items of cds, t-shirts and downloads, she is also including diddley bows and cigar box guitars handmade by her husband, Matte Resist. Matte is the author of the DIY book, “How and Why” which includes plans on cigar box guitars, cookie tin banjos and other cool projects. A $35 pledge will get you a canjo, $45 reward is a diddley bow and $100 gets you a great 3-string cigar box guitar.
